Mainly mountain showers & continued breezy Sunday

Cooling trend through early next week

SPOKANE, Wash. — The second half of the weekend will feature mostly cloudy skies and mainly mountain showers.  It will continue to be breezy through early next week with southwest winds gusting up to 35 mph.  There will be an overall cooling trend starting Sunday, with highs only in the low to mid 50s on Monday and Tuesday.  Temperatures may fall to around freezing early Tuesday morning, but winds staying up would keep it a few degrees warmer.

There is a better chance for more widespread showers on Monday and again next Thursday.  April rainfall is running about .64" below average, so any wet weather would be beneficial to the region as we move into May.  It looks like temperatures should finally warm back up into the 60s towards the end of next week.
